Performance Monitoring

The EoECPH uses a collaborative and tiered approach to performance monitoring of homecare medicines services supporting local management of services whilst providing regional and national escalation routes for issues with greater impact or scope. 

National 

The regional homecare lead, hosted by the EoECPH, represents EoE trusts on the National Supplier Engagement sub-group of the NHMC. This sub-group meets with homecare providers on a frequency based upon their market share. Large providers are seen quarterly  with smaller providers either 6-monthly or annually. 

Regional 

EoECPH undertakes monthly service review meetings with each homecare provider operating under the framework agreement with a standard agenda that includes review of KPIs, discussion on any national issues impacting service delivery as well as local escalations from trust homecare teams. 

We also host annual regional meetings with local homecare leads and homecare providers operating in the region. These are formally structured and recorded to comply with the Handbook for Homecare Services in England. 

It is anticipated that there may be a requirement for additional service review meetings where it is identified that service levels from a particular homecare provider has dropped significantly, necessitating urgent procedural review and action. Under this circumstance homecare providers and Trust stakeholders will be given as much notice as possible ahead of the chosen meeting date. These reviews will follow the standard agenda with particular focus given to rectification of the issues highlighted prior to the meeting. 

Local 

Local homecare teams conduct local service reviews at an appropriate frequency, commonly between one three monthly. 

Regional KPI Dashboard 

The EoECPH has developed a regional KPI dashboard which presents a collated regional view of the nationally agreed KPIs. This is possible as member trusts have agreed open sharing of homecare service KPI data between across the East of England to allow effective management.

Homecare providers submit monthly KPI reports to the EoECPH which are collated and presented in a dashboard tool allowing trusts ease of access to all homecare performance data from all providers in one location as well as open and ongoing benchmarking across the region. 

The EoECPH first launched the regional KPI dashboard back in 2016 with Microsoft Excel as the platform, we have now launched the first version of a new Microsoft PowerBI based tool which enables us much greater opportunities to further develop the dashboard to meet members' needs.
