Briefly tell us about your role at the Collaborative Procurement Hub.
In my role as a Procurement Project Assistant, I support the delivery of key programmes by coordinating project activities, managing data and helping ensure stakeholders have what they need for smooth progress. Recently, I’ve been involved in several collaborative procurement initiatives that streamline processes and improve outcomes for partners across the region.
Tell us about your career before joining the Collaborative Procurement Hub.
Before joining the Hub, I worked across a range of frontline, operational and IT roles in the NHS, including call handling, dispatch and analytical support.
I later completed a Junior Management Consultant apprenticeship, which strengthened my project and problem-solving skills. These experiences made it clear that I wanted to be somewhere I could contribute to tangible, positive change, which naturally led me towards procurement and improvement-focused work.
You have been at the Hub for one year now. How would you describe your time here?
I’ve been with the Hub for a year, and it’s been challenging, rewarding and genuinely enjoyable. I’ve gained confidence in managing procurements and really value working with such supportive colleagues. What drives me most is knowing our work helps trusts and makes a real difference across the region. I’m proud to be part of a team that’s collaborative, values‑driven and committed to improving outcomes for the NHS.

Always ask questions – there is so much knowledge and experience within colleagues who can help you navigate through the procurement landscape
What does the NHS mean to you?
To me, the NHS should represent delivery of the best care. It’s an institution built on the belief of equitable, quality care aiming to remove the fear of illness and to create a more civilised society.
Outside of work, what helps you switch off and recharge?
I like to unwind by spending time outdoors, exploring new places or relaxing with my family.
What is your dream holiday?
My dream holiday would be somewhere with a mix of adventure, beauty, and relaxation. Exploring a scenic destination with great food and opportunities to be peaceful.
