Why this framework matters to you
In response to the increased demand for patient deliveries and the surge in virtual appointments, the East of England NHS Collaborative Procurement Hub has established a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for trusts to access specialist pharmacy courier services.
This initiative aims to facilitate compliant, consistent and cost-effective delivery solutions. By utilising services under this DPS, hospitals can revolutionise pharmacy services, allowing for quicker discharge times and enhancing patient experience and convenience.
The DPS specifically covers Specialist Courier Services for delivering outpatient medications prescribed via virtual clinics to patients homes, workplaces or other suitable locations, as well as delivering discharge medications following patient discharge from the hospital.
