The NHS Commercial Alliance, a collaboration between the East of England NHS Collaborative Procurement Hub and NHS Commercial Solutions, has introduced a new framework to aid all UK Ambulance Trusts in acquiring Personal Video Devices and Accessories.

In response to the rising number of assaults on ambulance crews and paramedics, the government has allocated limited funding to all 10 Ambulance Trusts in England for the purchase of body-worn cameras and related accessories. These personal video devices serve as crucial tools in reducing assaults by recording frontline staff activities, acting as a deterrent to incidents of abusive and aggressive behavior. The framework extends beyond Ambulance Trusts to include other emergency services, NHS Commercial Alliance members, and broader NHS and Public Sector organisations.
