Independent Investigations (Ref: 2019/S 214-526090)
Background
The NHS is required to commission an independent investigation for significant serious incidents and the wider NHS is required under the Serious Incident Framework to investigate all patient safety/serious incidents and may require additional expertise and independent scrutiny for an investigation. This framework supports such investigations. The framework was conducted under LTR and will be reopened and refreshed on an annual basis.
