Dermatology Services (Ref: 2021/S 000-002852)
Background
The Framework for the Provision of Dermatology Services is designed to address the growing demand for short-term, long-term, and ad-hoc contracting within the NHS. The framework facilitates the creation of additional capacity to meet rising demands, supporting initiatives to address waiting lists and accommodating longer-term contracts for new requirements.
Through this framework, we offer a solution that enables trusts to manage capacity planning internally, ensuring patients can be seen within the trust, with a provider utilising NHS premises and equipment, or locally with providers delivering CQC registered services using their own premises and equipment. The framework for Dermatology Services is underpinned by robust terms and conditions.
These conditions support trusts in both outsourcing and insourcing dermatology services, ensuring consistent measurement of trust performance. This flexibility allows trusts to commission or sub-contract services as the primary provider, ensuring that terms and service delivery obligations in their own contracts under NHS England flow seamlessly from the trust through to the call-off contracts.
