- Specialisms covered were selected following engagement with the wider NHS to ensure they support current requirements
- Suppliers awarded to the framework can support organisations in reducing patient wait times for elective treatments, as well as in achieving their national 62-day cancer target and 28-day faster diagnosis standard (FDS).
- Key criteria for the framework includes improving access to health services, reducing health inequalities and facilitating patient choice.
- Multiple services can be procured under one contract under lot 9, saving time and freeing up procurement capacity.
- Services that can be contracted under each specialism include: triage and assessment, diagnosis, treatment pathways, minor surgeries, face-to-face appointments, telehealth and consultant-led clinics.
- Regional matrix supports organisations in identifying local suppliers.
- The framework is conducted under PSR so is only open to trusts within England that fall in the following criteria: NHS England; integrated care boards (ICBs); NHS trusts and NHS foundation trusts; local authorities and combined authorities.
