Framework launch: Transportation, Patients and Specialist Courier Services
29 April 2021

The Hub is pleased to launch a new Transportation, Patients and Specialist Courier Services framework, giving our members access to the provision of efficient and cost-effective courier and transportation services.

The UK government has committed itself to reaching net zero carbon by 2050 and as such, the NHS is making great strides to reduce its carbon footprint. With this in mind, we ensured that sustainability and greener delivery and vehicle solutions were included in this offering, supporting our members in reducing the impact services and supply chain have on the environment.

The framework is divided into ten separate lots:

Lot 1 – Non Urgent Patient Transportation services

  1. Private Ambulance – System Capacity Support
  2. Patient Repatriation Services

Lot 2 – Temperature Controlled Logistics: Planned Service Delivery

Lot 3 – Temperature Controlled Logistics: Same Day Courier Service

Lot 4 – Temperature Controlled Logistics: Next Day Courier Service

Lot 5 – Hazard Material (ADR) Logistics: Planned Service Delivery

Lot 6 – Hazard Material (ADR) Logistics: Same Day Courier Service

Lot 7 – Hazard Material (ADR) Logistics: Next Day Courier Service

Lot 8 – Notes and Files Delivery Service

Lot 9 – Green and Innovative Courier Service Delivery

Lot 10 – Total Service Delivery

The framework includes both national and local (SME) suppliers so members are able to select a provider that best meets their needs regarding cost, service capability and environmental considerations.
