NHS Commercial Alliance, the partnership between the East of England NHS Collaborative Procurement Hub and NHS Commercial Solutions, is pleased to announce a new framework agreement giving UK ambulance trusts access to the provision of Personal Video Devices and Accessories.

This agreement also supports other emergency services, NHS Commercial Alliance members as well as the wider NHS and Public Sector organisations.

Personal video devices are a vital tool in supporting user safety - ambulance crew and paramedics may feel safer wearing devices.

Benefits of the framework include:

• User safety
• Crime prevention and deterrent - the device promotes crew safety and may act as a deterrent as people will immediately know their actions may be recorded, which reduces the risk of abusive and aggressive behaviour
• Provides evidence - devices capture footage which can be utilised for the purposes of criminal prosecutions
• A procurement route that aligns to the vision of the trusts
• Delivers financial and operational benefits to trusts.
