Intermediate Tender Evaluation Workshop

The Hub will be hosting an Intermediate Tender Evaluation Workshop for Hub members on 2 November at the Hub offices in Fulbourn, led by law firm Mills & Reeve. 

 

This workshop is ideal for public procurement professionals who are keen to learn more about the importance of clear and fair ways to evaluate tenders in procurements of any type. The session will cover:

 

  • The importance of clear evaluation methodologies at selection stage and award stage
  • The Crown Commercial Service standard selection questionnaire
  • A look at the basic legal principles around evaluation at award stage
  • The important distinction between selection criteria and award criteria
  • Choosing and articulating compliant criteria
  • Curveballs and unintended consequences
  • Some issues arising from evaluating multi-lot tenders
  • The extent to which bidders can be allowed to clarify or add to information in their tender after the submission deadline

 

Registration will begin at 9.30, and with the session kicking off at 10am. The event will last approximately three and a half hours, and be followed by a sandwich lunch and time for networking.
