EU Public Procurement Regulations Update

The Hub is pleased to announce that lawfirm Mills & Reeve will be presenting a seminar titled EU Public Procurement Regulations for Hub members on 27 September at the Hub offices in Fulbourn.

 

This event is a must for anyone involved in public procurement, whether a provider or commissioner, who is keen to get a refresher and update on the EU procurement rules and developments. The session will cover:

 

  • Introduction: what has happened to procurement law over the last ten years, and why it’s so important to get things right
  • The nuts and bolts of the current public procurement legislation
  • Types of procurement procedure
  • Criteria for selection and award
  • Standstill and debriefing
  • Changes to contracts during their lifetime, and the possible consequences
  • Exceptions to the need to advertise: use of the negotiated procedure without call for competition
  • Exceptions to the need to advertise: in-house awards and public co-operation
  • The Light-touch regime
  • Case-law update

Registration will begin at 9.30, and with the session kicking off at 10am. The event will last approximately three and a half hours, and be followed by a sandwich lunch and time for networking.
