The Hub has a dedicated team of team of clinical product specialists - including a nurse specialist - focused on supporting the development, award, implementation and uptake of clinical contracts at Trust and regional level.

The Clinical Product Specialist team acts as an interface between national contracting and local requirements to ensure all projects reduce clinical risk, support new innovation and technology adoption with the prime objective of ensuring the best outcomes for patients and staff using the products.

Expert Advice

The team provides expert clinical procurement advice to clinical and procurement teams and can facilitate training and education requirements where required alongside the development of communication and change plans.

National and Regional Links

Working closely with other NHS organisations, the team leads and supports the development of project stakeholder groups and works with the Department of Health, NHS Supply Chain and other national organisations to input into national agendas as well as helping clinicians from the East of England input into the national contracting and patient care agenda.

Stakeholder Engagement

Core to the role is continuously working to improve aspects of how it engages with other clinical teams and the team strives to develop strong partnership working with clinicians who are interested in being involved in Hub projects.
